DON GIOVANNI LUBINU
Discografia
Testo e Musica: G. Lubinu
Have you ever walked along the sidewalk, in wretched suburbs of our busy towns?
Looking at the desolation of men living on the ground,
tell me, have you ever wondered why you're not one of those who live that life?
Have you ever heard mothers crying over young sons who will never come back home?
Feeling pity for that sorrow that nobody will console,
tell me, have you ever wondered why you are not the one for whom they're crying?
NO MAN IS AN ISLAND , ENTIRE OF ITSELF:
ALL OF US ARE PIECES OF THE SAME LARGE CONTINENT;
THAT'S WHY EVERY SUFFERING DIMINISHES YOU TOO,
YOU MUST CARE ABOUT IT 'CAUSE IT'S TRUE:
NO MAN IS AN ISLAND , NEITHER YOU.
Have you ever met the unlucky people at the mercy of our charity?
Knowing there are still too many dying because there is no food,
tell me, have you ever wondered why you don't have to strive to survive?
Have you ever realized how many good things you were given, maybe without worth?
Thinking of so many children who are lame or dumb or blind,
tell me, have you ever wondered why you can run and speak and watch the sky?
Have you ever seen lonely people wandering and talking to themselves?
Going into gloomy houses, devoid of real human love,
tell me, have you ever wondered why you get friends who give warmth to your life?
NO MAN IS AN ISLAND , ENTIRE OF ITSELF:
ALL OF US ARE PIECES OF THE SAME LARGE CONTINENT;
THAT'S WHY EVERY SUFFERING DIMINISHES YOU TOO,
YOU MUST CARE ABOUT IT 'CAUSE IT'S TRUE:
NO MAN IS AN ISLAND , NEITHER YOU,
NO MAN IS AN ISLAND , NEITHER YOU,
NOT EVEN YOU.
COMMENTO
Mi ha sempre colpito molto pensare che tutto ciò che sono o che possiedo è un dono che ho ricevuto immeritatamente. Perché io sì e tanti altri no?
